Special Effects
One of the areas of pyrotechnics is known as special effects. Every time we go to a movie or concert we typically witness special effects and similar items. Wetzel Pyro has teamed up with some of the most experienced effects available in the industry. Check out our featured effects below or if there is a custom need, give us a call.
We (Wetzel Pyrotechnics) only do large outdoor events and military consulting, but we can refer you to others that do close proximity, special fx and other services.
Flame Emitters
Flame Effects are created using DMX controlled flame machines or in some cases flash pots. These effects are brilliant and typically used in concerts and music videos, movies and for other events. Flame effects can shoot flames over 12 feet and there are options for colored flames, automated programming to music and much more.
Fireballs
Fireballs are a popular effect for simulating explosions safely for movie productions. They are fast dispersing effects that only last a second or two and are performed safely while still being able to get the needed shot for your movie. In addition these effects are used to simulate mortar or other attacks in battlefield simulations.
Snow and Foam Parties
We have been doing snow and foam parties for well over 10 years now. We use hypoallergenic and safe foam making materials to ensure that our foam and snow demonstrations are safe for both actors, party-goers and production crews.

Our snow machines allow realistic camera shots simulating what looks and behaves like real snow. Our foam parties are ridiculously fun.
Sound Systems for Pyromusical Events
If we have shore power, we can provide high quality sound for events. Our sound systems are portable and can be added to any special effects or show as options.
FAA Licensed (Part 107) Drone Operators
Have a need to get aerial imagery? We can provide aerial platforms for photos or other sensors. Our remote pilots are FAA certified and insured.
Fireworks Displays
And of course we can do your outdoor fireworks displays. Our operators know NFPA1123 and follow the rules to minimize the risk to our operators and to keep the public safe. Fireworks are our passion!

Weddings are a great time to celebrate with fireworks. We offer the following services for weddings and can work within your budget to make your special day unforgettable.

In addition to our fireworks and pyrotechnic services, we also offer a full DJ and MC service and reception hosting. We make all of the announcements and help you navigate your reception events to include first dance, cake cutting and then we can light up the room with cold spark fountains (indoor) for a very unique experience.

Please allow 60 days minimum to get permits and plan early! I am fully licensed and insured and will take care of all of the paperwork and permitting for your event!
War Re-Enactments and Displays
Want to make your reenactments more realistic? Add licensed and permitted pyrotechnic effects to your event. Call us for information on what we can do to make your event a success. All displays are permitted and require 60-90 days lead time for paperwork and planning.
Gender Reveal Fireworks or Effects
We have many ways to perform gender reveals to include non licensed options which do not require a permit (smoke and fountains), large pink or blue fireworks outdoor displays or other options. Let us make your gender reveal successful and add extra excitement to your gender reveal party!
